Meet Luba: The Inspirational Founder of Bryght

Diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer at age 40, Luba found herself at a crossroads. As an only child with no family left, she needed a hero – and she became her own. Luba's journey is one of resilience, innovation, and a deep commitment to creating a better world for women, particularly those navigating the challenges of cancer treatment.

A Vision for Safe Spaces

In the midst of the mortgage crisis, Luba leveraged her condo to open several waxing salons across the USA and Canada. Her mission was clear: to provide a fun and safe work environment for women. The first uniform she created humorously stated, "I used to work for assholes; now I just bleach them." This bold statement, sent to her former bosses, never received a response, but it resonated with many. Today, it's the number one selling apparel at Bryght.

The Birth of Bryght

The moment Luba realized she could impact lives was when skincare samples, made by her lab and chemist, worked wonders on her radiated and chemo-affected skin. Her radiologist, who had been practicing for 25 years, was shocked by the lack of burning, blistering, peeling, or pigmentation on her skin. This success led to the creation of Bryght’s Oncology line, Strength and Courage, aimed at protecting and hydrating skin during treatment.

Discovering AnaOno

Luba came across AnaOno online through social media. The cancer community, though tight knit, is a club no one wants to join. Yet, once you're in, you find invaluable connections. Dana Donofree and AnaOno kept appearing in Luba's network, leading her to invite Dana onto her podcast. From there, a deep friendship and professional collaboration blossomed. Luba is now an ardent fan of AnaOno's clothing, praising its incredible softness.

The Importance of Skincare

During radiation treatment, Luba was advised to use petroleum jelly for her skin, but she knew she needed something better. Her journey through chemotherapy and radiation thrust her into menopause, adding night sweats, hot flashes, and weight gain to her list of challenges. Her existing skincare routine no longer sufficed, leading her to create Strength and Courage. These products are safe, easy to use, all-natural, vegan, and scent-free, tailored specifically for cancer thrivers.

Integrating Bryght into Your Routine

Bryght’s Strength Repair Balm and Courage Facial Comfort Cream are designed to be soothing, fragrance-free, and 100% natural hydration products. They seamlessly fit into any daily routine, replacing existing moisturizers. The Gift Set, combining both products, is thoughtfully packaged, making it an easy addition to anyone’s skincare regimen.

Benefits During Radiation Treatment

Bryght products are perfect for radiation treatment for numerous reasons. Crafted by a cancer thriver for cancer thrivers, they feature a soft touch finish ideal for those with neuropathy. Fragrance-free to avoid nausea, they nourish the skin, provide natural pain relief, and help prevent and brighten pigmentation caused by radiation. Unlike petroleum products, they don’t trap heat in the skin and aid in the wound healing process.

The Bryght x AnaOno Collaboration

The collaboration between Bryght and AnaOno is a full-circle moment for Luba and her brand. From discovering AnaOno online to having Dana on her podcast and participating in various events together, this partnership feels like destiny. Luba is excited about the collaboration's potential to help more thrivers in the community, emphasizing that cancer thrivers are stronger together. #NeverAlone
